How can we shape our own career paths in climate science? What can we learn from those who have taken different routes through academia and beyond?

On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science 2027, TRR 181 “Energy Transfers in Atmosphere and Ocean” and the Cluster of Excellence CLICCS “Climate, Climatic Change, and Society” at the University of Hamburg are jointly organising the Women* in Climate Sciences conference.

The conference aims to empower and inspire female* early-career researchers to shape their own career paths by connecting with and learning from inspiring role models in academia. It provides a space for scientific exchange, career development, and networking, encouraging participants to explore different opportunities and perspectives within academia.

The conference welcomes female* participants interested in climate-related research, particularly in physical oceanography, atmospheric sciences, and mathematics.

* women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people
