The EGU General Assembly 2023 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world for one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary, and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career scientists, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience.
The EGU General Assembly 2023 will bring back many of the features the EGU community enjoyed before the pandemic, including: orals, posters, and, PICO sessions, in a new hybrid format, as well as a wide variety of networking opportunities. At the same time, we are very keen to improve the experience for our virtual attendees, and are working hard to connect the virtual and on-site experiences as much as possible.

The official language of the conference is English.
Schedule / Program
Following our experiences from the fully virtual meeting in 2020/2021 and the first hybrid meeting in 2022 (with many limitations due to the COVID-19 pandemic), the EGU 2023 General Assembly will combine the best of long-established, traditional presentation and networking formats, while drawing on new concepts to support hybridization, improving accessibility and inclusion for all of our participants. EGU23 will feature oral presentations, poster sessions and the established PICO format for both presenters on-site in Vienna as well as those presenting remotely.
There will be oral, poster and PICO presentations.
